I don't want to steer you wrong, but I think your money will be better spent elsewhere. For almost the same price, you can get some nice used gears installed for that price. I would think the chip would better benefit someone with ignition changes or fuel system alterations. Wait for other advice, but I'd say trash the chip idea and throw those gears in!
