I've got the shocks struts from stangparts for my 87GT.

The strut fit, no problems. I didn't have time to do the other (which wasn't totally blown) and the car rides better.

I'd say do it. I was looking at aftermarket sets too, I decided spending the $40 from stangparts for new struts/shocks was by far the best deal on the market. Even aftermarket cheapy units would set you back $70/strut easy.

I just don't see how you can go wrong for that price.
