I just noticed that you have a Bullit rather than a normal '01 GT, so it's hard to say. According to the magazines, removing the intake silencer was always worth a couple horsepower on any '86 and up car until they tried it on the '99 and up and lost a couple horsepower. Since the Bullit has a different intake setup, it's hard to say. I'd try it and see.
