I had a lot of trouble with my C4 2 years ago. This resulted in many conversations with different people about C4's. The guy that gave me alot of good advice suggested going with a Fairbanks (Stage 2) shift kit for street/strip applications. I don't think you can buy them but your local trans shop can. I didn't install the Fairbanks kit but I have installed a few shift kits. Keep track of the springs and balls and you will be ok.

I'm happy with it but I did many other changes at the same time. Since I don't have power brakes, the higher stall torque converter was the best thing I did. I don't have to use both feet anymore to hold the car back at stop lights.
