i've got 275/50 15 drag radials on mine, i cut off the quad shock (not sure if 79s have those) and rolled the fender lips and they fit great now, its a good size on a 15" wheel IMO
why do you want larger tires on the front? thats kinda contradicting the "drag" part of the draglites. I'd stay with the 225's on the front if i were you hope this helps
