![]() Ahhh, the AOD launch, very simple.
Step 1. Place your left foot firmly on the brake Step 2. Place your right foot on the gas Step 3. Using right foot, bring revs to a hold at about 1500 (?) rpm Step 4. When the light changes, let go of the brake, and then begin to depress the gas fully. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! Thats the only way to keep from spinning. With all the torque that this car produces, you cant just mash the pedal off the line, even in the AOD. You simply have to slowly press the pedal at first, and after .5-1 sec you should have your foot pressed on the floor (press all the way). The only way to really know is to play around with it, find out how quickly you can press the pedal down, and what rpm you can launch at w/o spinning. On the shuffle, start out with the 'gear selector lever' in the "1" position, and when the rpms reach about 5k, push it up to the "d". The tranny will take a few hundred rpm to shift, and when its done shifting, pull the selector back to "1". The tranny will then stay in 2nd gear until you push the selector up to "d" or "circle D". |
