Two ways I know of is...1st the way we [me] did it back in the early 60's. No money, just alot of balls. I ran an extra spark plug wire from under the hood, through the car, through the trunk and in the tailpipe with a spark plug. Used Packard 440 wire. When I wanted to flame throw I would stop and replace one plug wire in the dist. cap with the long wire going out back. Drive up a steep hill in PA and roar down it, downshift the flathead Ford to 2 gear and pump the gas and pull the choke out. Boy! I would light the road up behind me.
The other way, and more expensive way is to have an second ignition system with its own coil run off a vibrator that would cause the plugs to fire in the pipes. Same effect, mucho more $$$.
