I know now that is doesn't sound right. But, a buddy had the "vibrator" out of a tube car radio. It was a metal tube looking thing [here I go again putting my foot in mouth] that plugged into the radio where the tubes were. Had 4 prongs.
I did run the Packard wire through my 52 Ford Convert, flathead, 3 duces, under the seats through the trunk and out the back. I hooked a sparkplug to end and stuffed it up one of the tailpipes, had dual "scavanger pipes", about a foot or so. Get up a large hill hook it up, roar down hill in 2nd gear. Back off it and pump gas and pull choke out. It would light the road up behind us. Great fun. Now I realize why I could never keep a drivers license.
