Things Car Guys should not Say LOUDLY at a Restraunt!
Part of my Saturday Cruise/Race night ritual is going out to dinner before the nights activities with the friends (Almost all car nuts).
I noticed quite a few raised eyebrows and lude remarks when me and my friends get to talkin Car slang. Here is a list of things NOT to say in a public place Loudly when car guys gather. 1. Man, every time I touch a rear, it makes noise (This pertaining to the whine of gears when not set properly) 2. Hey Thimons, why dont you come over tommorrow so we can pull your shaft out so I can feel it and see if it has as much play. (Meaning, Drive Shaft in my car. That one gut an old man looking at me wierd at the table next to us.) 3. Man I need a new set of Rubbers. Mine are all worn out. (Car short talk for "My tire our worn because I cant keep traction.") 4. I had to play with my shifter alot before it got broke in. Yes, these statements can get you called all kinds of things in public. Guess if the people would of noticed we were all wearing FORD shirts, and Mustang Shirts, and even one Bow-Tie guy wearing his Chevy shirt that they would of concluded we were talking car talk. I know this has no real point, but hey, niether does LIFE. |

"Look at the tires on that one". Laugh now but it's got me busted before. Highly recommend against it in a Hooters restaurant.
