Post Tune up questions

Guys, I just went to up my timing and the first thing I was going to do was unhook the spout. The spout is not plugged to anything and I see nowhere for it to plug in. Will this affect anything. Runs fine now.
Secondly, I went to get plugs and they gave me motorcraft ASF 42C. The shaft is too short. Is this the wrong plug? Thanks for the info.

The spout connector should be a little plug in the end of a harness. You unplug the plug. The 2 wire harness just kind of hangs there. If you're missing the plug, you've got a problem.
