Default Not sure how to hook up TV cable from 91 to a holley

What part of it attaches? I'm assuming it's the black module that is attached to the TV arm of the carb. I took a 91's TB bracket, cut and folded it (see attachment, it's pretty neat) and got the cables just about where they need to be. Now I got a sonnax kit which supposedly corrects the problem by adding a plate to the top of the TV arm with a stud on it. The stud, however is too small for the module's spring loaded bottom half to slide onto.

I'm also installing a mechanics 300 psi trans guage fulltime to run in the cabin. What should these pressures be? I've seen that page a million times with the 3 types of tv cables that tells you to pull on cables and make marks with hacksaws.....I'd rather do it directly with pressures.

The picture says it all.

I can tell u what the custom cable that came from windsorfox wanted the pressure set with the trans in neutral using a tranny gauge. I can look in their book to see what pressure again they wanted if you want....it was somewhere near 32 lbs i think.

naw, I chewed through 3 t-5's already. I'm swapping out #3 for an AOD and seeing how it works. I'll have to update my profile to say "still gets 5 mpg on the highway too!"

Isnt the pressure supposed to be zero at idle? I think I remember that much from my readings online.

The light has shone on yonder noggin! I went to menards for a new crossmember to hold up the AOD and I took a peek at some stock EFI 5.0's with AOD's. The peg does go in the bottommost hole!! There's one of those rubber push in style grommets so on the way home I picked up the brass/cotter pin delete kits from the dealer.

As far as the TV....is it ok to just adjust it to be all the way closed at idle and all the way open at full throttle? That should get me close enough, right?

they swear up and down that if u try to get it close....that will still fry the OD.
I have always put the guage on it....not too hard to do, bigger pain in the butt is getting the car in the air to get to the transmission.

Well, I got a guage in the cabin so I can watch the pressure while I'm in gear. What's the pressure suposed to do anyway? Should it jump around when it shifts gears or rise steadily?

well, my kit said to check the pressure with the car in neutral and idleing. There was a little fork like tool that came with the kit and you were suppose to wedge it between the end of the cable and the braket. The fork is sloped and you push it farther on or pull it off more to get the pressure to the proper point. Then you are all done after tightning up the cable adjustment.

The pressure is going to jump around by changing gears....probably mess up your guage.
