the .99 cent autolites gapped at .035 should work nicely ...dont get platinum plugs or anything fancy as it will just get burned off

I run 25's for NA, and 24's on the squeeze. Gap is important, got a lot of fuel in there to light. You'll be just fine with the Autolites.

I'm guessing you mean smaller gap on the spray?
What if your over 125 shot is autolite 24 cold enough?

Yes, the Autolite 24s are the ones you want...even with a 125 shot.

For that big of a shot I'd probably go with 23s, I guess. You'll have to retard the timing way down for that big of a shot. Is this a dry shot? Do you have the correct motor internals & fuel system to handle this 175-200 shot?

No, I was just wondering if you'd go even colder on the plugs or just crank the timing way down.
I do plan to spray my rebuilt 306 with 175-185, with plenty of fuel of course.Forged pistons, stock everything else(crank & rods).
What do you think?
Should I get a main girdle? At least studs I figure.

I'd stick with a 150 shot. That'll take well over a second off of your quarter mile time with a big enough fuel pump & a properly set bottle warmer. Anything over that seems like you're pushin it in my opinion.

150 is safe but its pushin it - stock rods are the weakest link

Timing on 14 with the nitrous?! How big of a shot? Unless you're running some high octane fuel, that sounds pretty scary to me...

So you're plugs look ok? No detonation I guess? That's amazing for a 150 shot. All we have here in So.Cal. is 91 octane. I've yet to experiment with race fuel & more timing. My 150 shot on 91 octane with my timing on 9 is plenty for me. I don't want to damage any of my motor internals. That's great that you can pull that off though. What are your 1/4 mile times mr49south?

That's pretty impressive. What all is done to your motor & fuel system mr49south? Have you checked your plugs after a nitrous run, or at least once you get back from the track? How do they look? No flakes of aluminum melted onto the electrodes, right? LOL. Just kidding...I'm curious to see how the 175 shot will work for you. So do you retard your timing at all from regular on motor runs? I highly suggest you retard it at least a few degrees on the 125-175 shots. But...who knows, maybe that 93 octance is helping out bigtime.
