![]() Hi HELP!!!
I have a 73 302 2 barrel carb. I get 13 miles to the Gal I am told that I will get better milage with a small 4 barrel and manafold. What do I do and what products do I want to use. The car is all orignal as I am the original owner. It still has the original smog stuf on it as well. Should I remove this or keep it original???? And is the 4 barrel worth all the trouble as the car runs perfect. Thanks |

![]() What kind of mileage are you looking for?
Honestly, unless you are putting a ton of miles on this thing, any... if any... mileage that you save will take years to compensate the cost of the carb, manifold, and gaskets and such... I'd say if you're happy with the way it runs, leave it be. Think about upgrading to a bigger carb and manifold if you want more HP, not if you want more gas mileage... the economics of it don't add up. |
