![]() Hey, where did you get it dynod.
Pretty good numbers, you can expect 12-15% loss on a manual and over 20% with a auto. Add some exhaust and mass air upgrade and you will see 210 at the wheels. |

![]() If the dyno is accurate, you're making about 224hp at the flywheel.
The T-5 driveline will cost you about 17% of power to the wheels. |

![]() I am saying:
Full exhaust, I would not imply mufflers are worth more than 7-10hp at the wheels. I've seen plenty of guys though with stock motors and with headers, mufflers(flows) and just mass air pumping out 200-210 at the wheels. ------------------ 306ci, TFS stage 3 heads. port/pol edlebrock performer intake. 75mm mass air, 70mm TB, crane 2030 cam, Mac full length headers, flowmasters 3.73 gears, pulleys, March ram-air, AFPR... Best time: 13.25@109.37mph 2.09 60' Best MHP: 13.53@110.07mph 2.15 60' |

![]() hey, that is around 310 torque isn't it? wow.. guess those pulleys, lightened flywheel, AL driveshaft, timing, msd coil and 92 octane gas do add up somewhere...
or is the 285 stock just underrated?? (For some reason I'm really pumped now, this dyno has really made me excited to start moddin' this baby!!!) But I'm sure you've all gone thru this stage (and are still in it!) |

![]() Those are very good numbers for a stock 5.0.
I added Full MAC exhaust (1 5/8" equal shorties and prochamber with Flowpaths), 65mm TB, 73 MM C&L, Kirban AFPR, 1.7RR, MAC underdrives, advanced timing and 180°thermo got me 225 RWHP @ 4800 RPM and 283 ft*lb of torgue. That is with a T-5, aluminum driveshaft and 2.73 gears at the time. ------------------ 1989 LX Convertible, blue with white top and leather, 5 speed.
