I've got a write-up on my site as well; its actually referenced in the Corral article. Getting the gears set up correctly takes practice and the right tools. At most shops, they're just going to pull the old ones out and slap the new ones in using the same pinion shim, so you might as well give it a go yourself. Just check backlash and the pattern when you're done to make sure that they're not too far out of wack.
