![]() You need to replace your TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). Buy a new one, and install it carefully. Before you snug down the screws that hold it in place, attach a DMM pos. lead to a small safety pin piercing the Green wire, and the neg lead to ground. Turn the DMM on to DC volts on the 20 volt scale. Turn the key to ON, but do not try to start. Read the DMM. It should read no lower than .9 vdc, and no more than 1.1 vdc. If it is within this range, tighten down the screws that mount the TPS to the TB. When tight, check voltage again, and make sure it's within that range. Next, slowly open the throttle by hand to WOT. The gauge should increase smoothly as you do this. Check the voltage at WOT. It must be higher than 4.5 vdc. If it is, verify once again that the screws are tight. Remove the DMM and leads & safety pin. Disconnect the neg. cable from the battery, and then turn on the headlight switch for 5 minutes, shut the switch off, and reconnect the neg battery cable.
The EGRC & EGRV solenoids are mounted on the back side of the passenger side strut tower, and will have two identical looking two wire electrical connectors plugged into the top of them. Check the connections, and make sure they are clean and tight. If you see any corrosion or damaged wires, fix them. Take care, ~Chris
