No, you read that right... I believe that BMW's are over-engineered CRAP! If you ever own one, have to work on one, or have to buy a new exhaust system for one, for example, you'd understand.

They wear out just like any other car on the road... I get to hear people cry about the price of a replacement exhaust system on their 'beemers' when they stop in at the muffler shop. Ever price a system for a VW, er, uh, I mean BMW? And they rot out just as quick as any other vehicle on the road with a rear mounted muffler.

Chevy Cavalier cat back exhaust system... $120-$150
BMW cat back exhaust system................... $1200-$1500+

(we're talking exhaust systems here, nothing exotic about that)

It's ridiculous!
