Here's some basic info for ya. The stock fuel pump is rated at 88 lph, at what psi I'm not sure but for the purpose of this we'll assume at least 40 psi. So assuming the pump is in perfect mechanical condition and can still flow the rated #'s, you're getting proper voltage from the stock alternator and you're not losing any flow thru the stock fuel lines along with a few other variables you'd be flowing 88 l/h or 22.88 g/h or 137.28 lbs/h. 137.28 lbs/h with a bsfc of .5 would enable you to support 274.56 bhp. So that's a best case scenario. So tack on your 75/100/125/150 shot to the rated 225 hp from the factory and you were "best case" out of fuel a long time ago. Quote:

![]() Goodyear, you're definately entitled to your opinion, but 1989GT is a long time member and def has a reputation of knowing what he's talking about, maybe instead of immediately bashing his suggestion, you could take in to consideration he is suggesting a safe tune for Dale, not to mention the fact that it was never mentioned if the kit was a dry or wet kit. I'm sure the stock pump would hold up with the wet kit, but a 150 dry kit is pushing the limits with the stock pump, not that it can't be done, anything is possible, it's just not the best practice......especially without proper tuning software..
Dale, I ran a 150 dry kit and went with Autolite 23's at that time. The 23's are safe for everyday driving as well. 10 degrees advanced is a safe tune to start with and I again would humbly recommend a larger fuel pump and adjustable FPR at a minimum. Is this kit a dry or wet kit?

![]() 1. Get a 255 lph fuel pump
2. I wouldnt spray anymore than a 100 shot, even that is going to trash your stock auto in no time. 3. Start off with a small shot and work your way up. 4. Buy some slicks and be safe.

![]() mabey a little rough how i said it but sometimes the truth hurts.i never said a 150 shot dry and if u called zex and asked for 150 jets for there dry system they would tell you not to use it!the only good thing i see on this page was not to use more than a 100 with the junk aod trannys planetary will explode.i and every mustang guy around here wouldnt even run autolights in there chainsaws.i use motorcrafts 2 stages cooler and get just under 10hp gain proven on a dyno jet .srry to hurt any ones feeling specially -usmc- but when i saw that he said the stock pump wont hold up to a 100 shot well thats just plane funny.dont get me wrong i did rec that he gets a 255lph and it is a great idea but ur not gonna burn 7 out of 8 pistons with a 100 shot lol
