![]() Advancing the timing is a good one; you'll notice the difference but remember to use 92+ octane gas.
Removing the catalytic converter is an old trick that frees up HP - but only if emissions inspections are not an issue where you live. ] Underdrive pullies are about $100. and a good mod. Steeper (3.55 or 3.73) rear gears are a must for improving performance but run near $400. installed. Headers help too of course, for a few hundred more. Anything you can do lighten the car helps and that includes removing the rear seat, A/C and so on. Hardly worth it to some folks but 100 pounds off the car is around a 1/10 drop in et. Fiberglass hoods save weight but are not cheap. |
