I've been running 10W30 Mobil 1 synthetic since the break-in period ended. At 50,000 hard miles, she's holding great....
As far as the ping... Is it coming from the engine compartment? Is it coming from the engine block? Is it present at idle? Does it start at a specific RPM? Is the computer throwing any codes? The mod motors sound a bit different from our tried and true 5.0s.
