![]() Would an Edelbrock Performer EFI intake manifold kit be alright to put on a 5.0 with stock heads?

![]() Definitely...but you won't feel a huge difference until you complete the whole combination with aftermarket heads and cam. But you might gain around 15hp. or so by just putting the manifold on.

![]() how much est. HP gain after new heads and cam? $500 for 15 HP sounds like a lot.

![]() Very few modification in and of themselves will result in dramatic performance improvments. It all comes down to the combination of parts. The manifold by itself now will yield 10-20 hp, but will allow your future heads to live up to their full potential. A stock intake with good heads will really choke up the intake path and rob you of power.

![]() I run the Edelbrock Performer EFI. I didn't have to pay $500 for it, though. Keep checking the Mustang mags or the classified on Mustang sites. I'm sure you can do better than that.
